turkey meatballs

This is my take on the Swedish meatballs.
I make them for Charlie, and then make a batch for myself as well.
I just add some sauté onions, garlic, salt and pepper.
They are really yummy.
Makes 10

1 pound ground turkey
3/4 cup cooked brown rice
3/4 cup cooked broccoli, chopped
1/2 teaspoon finely chopped oregano
butter
Mix together all the ingr in a bowl.
Roll into large meatballs, there should be enough for 10.
Fry them in a pan with butter on medium heat until done.
Serve with cooked rice, pasta or mashed potatoes.
(can be frozen).

Onions are supposed to be toxic for dogs. I would check with your vet that your not hurting your pooch.

Super easy, super quick. Loved throwing it in the crockpot and walking away. My husband and I don't usually like turkey, but I made these because we are trying to get our dog more healthier. They were delicious! Thanks for a great recipe!

veterinarian here: Onions will cause hemolytic anemia- red blood cells will be destroyed. Garlic can also be toxic. Please refer to the ASPCA toxic food list.
