turkey meatballs

This is my take on the Swedish meatballs.
I make them for Charlie, and then make a batch for myself as well.
I just add some sauté onions, garlic, salt and pepper.
They are really yummy.
Makes 10

1 pound ground turkey
3/4 cup cooked brown rice
3/4 cup cooked broccoli, chopped
1/2 teaspoon finely chopped oregano
butter
Mix together all the ingr in a bowl.
Roll into large meatballs, there should be enough for 10.
Fry them in a pan with butter on medium heat until done.
Serve with cooked rice, pasta or mashed potatoes.
(can be frozen).

Chew bones

You need
leftover pices of fabric
(wash and dry them first)
Cotton filling
paper

First, make a template of a dog bone in the paper.
Cut out the bones in the fabric. You will need two pices of each bone.
Sew it together with a sewing maschine, remember to leave a hole so you can stuff the bone.
Pull the bone insideout and and fill it with the stuffing.
Handsew the hole.
Ready for hours of fun!

Peanut butter bones

Charlie goes crazy every time I make these cookies for her.
I make a bunch and store them in a jar on the counter.
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 cup peanut butter (all-natural or organic)
1 cup water
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups white flour
3 tablespoons unsalted peanuts, chopped
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
Combine oil, peanut butter and water.
Add flour, and work the dough together.
Let it rest for 30 minutes.
Knead dough into firm ball and roll to 1/4 inch thickness.
Use a bone cookie cutter to make small bones.
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Sprinke with peanuts.
Bake at 350 F for 10-12 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack.
Makes 25 cookies.
